Description

The left turn signal does not stay green long enough to allow all queued traffic to safely make a left turn when heading south on Walnut St and turning left (east) onto Tryon Rd.. Typically only 3-4 vehicles make it through before it turns red. There are several cars in each of the two left turn lanes which don't have time to make a turn in one light cycle. I see many cars running the yellow and red, and some close calls for drives trying to run the light behind drivers who are stopping to wait through another light cycle.
