Thanks for reporting - we have heard from folks on both sides of this issue.

The signs have been removed as a way to safely accommodate fishers while the FT Hale Pier is awaiting repairs and also to increase the use of the park to discourage some vandalism that was occurring.

Signs will be replaced when the pier is completed - anticipated for this summer.

Its a public park. Made for recreational activities that also includes fishing. Unfortunately there are some individuals that leave a mess but dont try to ban an activity that many enjoy and do the right thing. While out on your walks stop and educate let them know your concerns. I guarantee you the majority will try to help you.

The regulation of No Fishing has been re-established at the Pardee Sea Wall as access has been restored at the Ft. Hale Fishing Pier.
