The "No Fishing" signs are slowly being removed and people are ignoring the "No Fishing" rule. Fishing from the Seawall is dangerous (I almost got a hook in my face from someone casting), and it causes a smelly mess. The signs need to be replaced and the rule enforced.

Thanks for reporting - we have heard from folks on both sides of this issue.
The signs have been removed as a way to safely accommodate fishers while the FT Hale Pier is awaiting repairs and also to increase the use of the park to discourage some vandalism that was occurring.
Signs will be replaced when the pier is completed - anticipated for this summer.
