I agree this is ridiculous.

Someone will have to die first. On concord we have two lanes of traffic skirting past the seawall so that they can speed and not have to stop at stop signs. This includes all commercial traffic, CT Transit, Lighthouse traffic and local traffic. We have houses on both sides of the streets and the entire neighborhood walks on Concord with their children and animals because there is no place to really walk on Townsend down here. There is one stop sign in the middle of Concord that no one stops for. In addition the only 25mph sign is down by Krausers and there is not another one on the street. CT Transit has at least 10 trips down here during the day going round trip. On the weekdays there are no more than 3 people or less on the buses. On the weekends in the summer 10. Do they really need 10 stops on Concord? Guess not since they are going at least 40 down the street day and night. CT Transit stated they don't want to inconvenience their passengers by moving the route to Townsend (where they would have to slow down) or Dean (where there is no traffic and only one line of houses). How about trafffic safety just get down here and come up with a proposal. Can you guys take this seriously before someone gets killed. Please.

I've been trying since my son was born 6+ years ago. I'm sorry to say I gave up, red tape, misinformation beat me down. I hope no one gets hurt.

Still no response from City. $5000 in taxes so we can pay subcontractors to do the work we have city employees to do. Double dipping. Ask any hard working city employee. Fix the speeding problem. Next we will have to intervene as a neighborhood. So fix the streets and the safety issues. Channel 8 looks good right about now.
