As of 6:45am, Thursday morning(7/7), the carts have yet to be removed. One of them has migrated west and is now it at the Martha NE overpass of the Piedra Lisa arroyo.

Thank you for the update. We will add this information to the case. The Storm Maintenance Dept. states that they picked up shopping carts from this location on 07/05/11.

If Storm Maint says they picked up those carts on 7/5 then 3 new ones have appeared, which is highly unlikely. I walked it this morning and verified they are still there. Someone is pulling your leg I think. Either way, there are 3 shopping carts that need to be removed before the rains come and they clog the arroyo flow. Thanx!

Having just driven the area a moment ago, I found another abandoned cart in front of the St Farm office @ 2301 Juan Tabo NE, another in the vacant lot @ 2200 block of Juan Tabo NE(Towner & Juan Tabo NE) behind the Chamisa bush, and still another next to a dumpster in the SLUM-partments around 11000 Towner NE. All of these are within 500' of the arroyo I'm sure will be in it very soon.

The shopping carts are located on private property. They will be reported to the Zoning and Code Enforcement Division. The reference numbers for these reports are: 7786074, 7786102, 7786123. Thank you for reporting these.
