Description

This evening I was dining at Mac's Steak in the Rough located at 4515 Menaul Blvd NE. At approximately 7:55 PM I observed an employee go to each of the exits and lock the doors, this despite the fact that there were approximately 25 customers still eating in the dining room. Only when a customer was leaving would they unlock the door and then immediately lock it again. The restaurant is not equipment with crash doors, in the event of a emergency or fire the customers could not escape the building. I mentioned to the employee when he was letting us out that it was illegal to lock the doors while customers were there and he replied that his boss told him to do it. I was so disturbed that I drove to the fire station by San Mateo and Menual only to be told that I needed to contact 311. Very disappointed.
