Notified About

  • 1072 Madison Street Saint Charles, Missouri - St. Charles
Construction on Kingshighway is leading to increased traffic and speeding on Madison Street. As a resident I am willing to deal with the increased traffic while the streets are improved, but the speeding has become a huge problem. We have a lot of toddlers and young children that reside on our street, including hearing impaired children. Many of us enjoy spending time on our front porches and in our yards and it has become much too dangerous to have our children outside. The police will come and sit periodically, but it isn't having an impact. I have witnessed some cars traveling over 60mph. It is constant and all of our neighbors are very concerned. We want to enjoy our street and play with our children out front, but at this time it is not possible. Can we have barricades or something placed on Madison that will cut down on the excessive speeding? If not, I don't want to imagine what may happen to a young child due to a few irresponsible drivers.
  • Bridle Spur Ct St Charles, MO 63303, USA - St. Charles
Vehicles travel at speeds that exceed 40 mph through the neighborhood. Children are at risk of being hit by a vehicle. Requesting patrols or speed bumps to slow traffic. Opportunity for the city to increase revenues through ticketing offenders while making the neighborhood safer for homeowners and families.

Deteriorating sidewalk. This was reported over three years ago which was rated a two out three per the city grading scale.

    1. Why do citizens receive second or third tier service?
    2. Why are new sidewalks created throughout old developments never having them (ie, such as Northside subdivisions)?
    3. How is three years considered acceptable?
    4. Is this report even on the books? Paint has dissipated with the Egyptian pyramids with minimal visibility.

    Any citizen services are appreciated.

What happened to code enforcement officers? This stuff doesn't grow overnight. Truly disappointed in St Charles. Family came into town and driving around I was embarrassed about where I live. No one is keeping the town up!
  • 1068 Madison St. Saint Charles, Missouri - St. Charles

Every weekday between 3-6, we get an overlfow of traffic due to the Kingshighway construction.

During the weekend there are tons of cars speeding down the street headed eastbound.

Could we please get some barricades put up to slow traffic down?

When we moved here, in the year 2000, I noticed this poor abandoned home. I was hesitant to buy a home here because of an abandoned building so close by, but I thought that it would soon be rectified because most of the other homes in the area look good. That was 17 years ago. It is still abandoned

This bridge has so many problems it's ridiculous. There are boards and nails popping up everywhere and rotting timbers. Couple this with absolutely no lighting at night and this is very dangerous. I am surprised the city has let it get to this point. It looks like there is never any maintenance performed. So sad.
