The following must be met in order to begin the stop sign installation or removal process:
• 10 or more citizens in separate households submits a petition expressing their interest in establishing or removal of a stop sign
• The citizens must live within a 300 foot radius of the intersection of concern
• If the intersection of concern is located within a subdivision governed by a Home Owners Association (HOA), the petition shall be submitted to the HOA committee. The HOA must approve of the stop sign request then can be submitted to the Engineering Department
• One (1) Stop Sign Request form for each stop sign request will need to be fully completed and submitted to the Engineering Department. If stop sign request is located within a HOA, the HOA committee will need to approve the Stop Sign Request form and petition before submitting to the Engineering Department
The petition and request form will be sent to the Councilmember representing the Ward in which this subdivision/traffic neighborhood is located.

Hello City of St. Charles and fellow neighbors. This is a critical issue so thank you for your attention- the speeding happening on Bridal Spur (a cut through to Timberidge neighborhoods) is a threat to our kids safety. I’ve recorded random people driving by while many of the neighborhood children (probably 8+ kids at a time) are riding their bikes in the cul-de-sac, if you’ll kindly provide an email address I’ll send the videos. You’ll see first hand how dangerous it is and the threat that it presents.
Thank you!
Cori
