The new trees that were recently planted are in danger. Four of them are leaning at a harsh angle from vertical and will fall down if not corrected. The planting was not done properly. Park workers need to go back and fix these trees by packing the soil to make them vertical. They are next to the air base fence. See photo.

San Mateo is one of the busiest streets in Albuquerque. The traffic lights on streets crossing San Mateo are supposed to be coordinated to let San Mateo traffic through, are they not?

Going Southbound on San Mateo, the light at Central turns green and many cars start going South. The next light two blocks later (after Walmart) is also green. But this does no good because the traffic light on Zuni turns red just in time to stop the dozens of cars that have come through the green light on Central. Coordinated traffic lights are good because they allow for the flow of traffic. Why stop everyone at Zuni which has been turned into a one-lane road? Let's get that light in sync with the traffic flow on San Mateo.

    TRAFFIC DEPT.:
A very bad backup on Northbound Washington trying to get through the Central intersection. What are all these traffic cones doing blocking the left turn lane? (See photo) Some guy was turning left and couldn't do so because of the dozens of cars coming through on Southbound Washington. He held up the whole line of 20 cars behind him trying to get through the intersection. It took me 6 minutes just to get to where I snapped the photo. What happened to the traffic light being switched to "on demand"?

Are left turns permitted or not? If not then put up signs saying "NO LEFT TURN". If they are permitted then get rid of those cones so left-turners can use the left turn lane and stop blocking everyone else going through. Yes, this is yet another nightmare courtesy of the ART fiasco.

The photo shows that repair is needed for the poles protecting the handicap approach to the playground in the West-most parking lot of Bullhead Park. A vehicle has backed into the poles, uprooting one of the poles and cracking the entire concrete base. Please fix.

Here is a photo of a tent hidden from officers on the West side of the backstop of Field 1. This has already been reported but since this tent is well hidden, it cannot be seen from the Western parking lot close to Field One. The backstop blocks the view from the parking lot. The officers will actually have to get out of their car and walk to the Western side of the backstop. He has been there 2 months already.

Here is a photo of a tent hidden from officers just West of the backstop of Field 1. He has been there for about a month already. Please advise that there is no tent camping in City parks.
There is another red tent at the opposite end of the park, far East field next to the airbase fence. The tent is red so it can be seen from all over Bullhead Park.

The water fountain at the East end of the Bullhead Dog Park is running continuously. It cannot be shut off and does not go off. A valve or something must have frozen inside. Hundreds of gallons of water are being lost every day. Please fix. See photo.

To the ABQ City Parks Dept: There are many hundreds of goathead and other tall weeds growing in the West border to the Bullhead Dog Park, starting at the main (West) entrance). This strip of land is on the West side of the dog park next to the parking lot. It desperately needs an application of the mustard color powdered weed killer through this whole area which goes from the dog park entrance 60 yards to the North. Even though the powdered mustard colored weed killer was applied through the Eastern and middle part of Bullhead Park, someone forgot to apply it to the West and the baseball backstops. Goatheads are probably the worst kind of weed that can grow anywhere, since they can get in dogs paws and puncture a bicycle tire. Arrows in the photo show where this is, and it is assumed that the other other areas in back of the baseball diamonds are well known. This issue has been reported previously months ago and nothing has been done.

Gate has fallen completely off its hinges (see photo) at Bullhead Dog Park. It does not close or open. This broken gate is between the two sections of the dog park and gets used many hundred times a day.
The inside gate at the NW entrance also has clasp problems, although it is still functional.

The homeless camp at Bullhead Park is back. They were ousted a couple weeks ago, and now they have set up camp again. First it was just sleeping backs and carts. Now it is a tent.
They are at the West end of the West parking lot, in the playground just South of Field 1. Same place as before. See photo taken Thursday Sept. 8th at noon.

I don't know why this issue keeps going to the County, so trying again.
All of Bullhead Park grass cut today, including all the baseball fields even though no one will be playing there much anymore. EXCEPT: The grass and weeds in adjoining Dog Park was NOT cut again. Why is this so difficult? It would take at the most half an hour, so why has it not been cut or trimmed in a month? See photo for contrast between cut and not cut.

A band of homeless people have set up a "permanent" camp at Bullhead Park at the West end of the West parking lot, in back of Field 1. See photos. Parents used to bring their children to enjoy the playground, but no more. This camp has grown too big and it has been there for about a month.

The grass at Bullhead Park is cut regularly, a few times each week, but the grass inside the Dog Park has not been cut in a month. The grass in some places is almost a foot high, and the weeds that should be trimmed regularly are now about 4 feet high (photo attached). Why do the grass cutters and weed trimmers ignore the dog park?

USS Bullhead Park has a week problem. One of the worst weeds imaginable are goatheads. I have pulled up over a thousand of these at Bullhead park in the last few years, but this infestation is too much for me. It is located just Northeast of the Torpedos, between the Torpedoes and the road/parking lot. (see photo) There are many patches of these goatheads. Because they are so thick, they need several applications of an industrial strength Roundup or similar weed killer.
