  • 920 Folger Ave Emeryville CA 94710, United States - Emeryville

The parking lot construction west of the greenway between Folger and 67th St has resulted in all of the seating and planters which were previously in the lot being placed on and blocking the jogging path along the greenway.

If the parking lot is no longer providing public access and the seating isn't being put back there, please contact the owner to find a new spot for it that isn't blocking part of the path.

Metal utility cover in Christie Street cycletrack just south of Powell is bent and dipping inward, creating sharp edges on each side which could creat a trip or crash hazard for pedestrians and bike traffic. Please replace and reinforce the utility cover so it is flush with the path surface.

Ninth Street south of Heinz, several punch list items remain to be resolved after the repaving project this past year:
    1) Bicycle lane stencils in both directions have not been repainted
    2) White lines on the outside edges of the dashed green bike lane intersection markings have not been repainted

Please make sure these items are replaced to their previous conditions, thanks.

  • 5500 Doyle St Emeryville CA 94608, United States - Emeryville
Prior to this new curb ramp being installed on the NE corner of 55th and Doyle the full curb along this corner was painted red, but when the concrete was reconstructed the red curb was never replaced - please paint the red curb again to help discourage people from parking here, blocking the fire hydrant and sight lines at the blind corner

  • 1400 Powell St Emeryville CA 94608, United States - Emeryville
Intersection of Powell and Hollis - I've had the walk signal skip me and not give a walk light during the driver green phase recently at this intersection, even after hitting the beg button and waiting through the whole phase - this has happened a few times in several different directions - the walk signal hardware here may be in need of repair or replacement
  • 600-698 Martin Mariner Ave Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - Alameda

Many of the Forms + Surfaces bicycle racks throughout the Bay37 development area are loose and not securely attached to the ground. I was able to wiggle them back and forth by hand, and could probably remove them from the ground altogether with a few kicks.

This is a common issue I’ve seen with other racks from Forms + Surfaces, as well as other rack types with a small footprint and the mounting hardware hidden.

Please fix the racks throughout this development site, ideally by replacing them all with a more secure style, like basic inverted U racks using secure mounting bolts.

3801 Telegraph Ave Oakland, CA, 94609, USA - Mosswood

Southbound Telegraph Ave at W MacArthur Blvd, please add an R10-15 "turning vehicles yield to bikes and pedestrians" sign, approaching the protected intersection, and ideally in all the other three directions approaching this protected intersection as well.

I was informed that a year ago a scooter rider was hit and injured while heading south through the protected intersection, by a right turning driver who failed to look and yield. The new signage here would reinforce the right of way for straight-through bike lane traffic and hopefully encourage drivers to look/yield and avoid additional crashes.

  • 925 Stanford Ave Oakland CA 94608, United States - Santa Fe

The tall grass around the bike crossing and crosswalk in the median at Lowell and Stanford still needs to be cut back. The tall grass is blocking visibility of the median crossing and creating a safety hazard.

This was reported previously and someone came out to cut some of the other grass again, but not the areas around the crosswalk that were reported.

A weed whacker is needed for this not a mower, so please make sure to bring the right equipment, thanks!

  • Stanford Ave Oakland CA 94608, United States - Santa Fe

The grass for the Stanford median around the crosswalks at King St needs to be cut down, as the tall grass blocks visibility between pedestrians and drivers.

The grass was cut elsewhere but left standing around the crosswalk where it is most needed to be mowed to improve traffic safety.

Over a year ago a utility project paved over the bike lanes, green paint, sharrows, and some crosswalk markings on San Pablo Ave north of 19th Street, and especially from 21st St to MLK Jr Way, which were never replaced.

This has been reported multiple times but has not yet been fixed. Please send the utility crew back to complete this work, including the sharrows on northbound San Pablo Ave from 19th St to Berkley Way, the bike lane stencils from Berkley Way to 21st St, the bike lane striping and green paint from 21st St to MLK Jr Way, and the markings for half the crosswalk at 21st St.

Over a year ago a utility project paved over part of the green bike lane transition markings on northbound Oak St between 13th and 14th Streets and never replaced them - This has been reported multiple times but it has not been fixed - without the markings drivers have been more confused about this merge area and have been more in conflict with bike traffic and other drivers - please send the utility back here to finish this work
  • 5553–5645 Hollis St Emeryville CA 94608, United States - Emeryville

construction access issue - sidewalk on west side of Hollis St is closed despite no construction activity impacting the sidewalk

if construction activity above the sidewalk is considered a danger then the city should require a covered walkway, not close the sidewalk

in general Emeryville needs to update its bike/walk/bus construction access guidelines to eliminate facility closure except for very short periods of time or on minor residential streets - please look into Oakland's guidelines on this as a model
