Great! I've noticed it for weeks. I once heard that the playground (court) lights were on timers...so it may be that the lights are not burned out but--due to several multi-hour electrical outages--the timers simply need re-setting. All I know is that on multiple after-dark dog walks, I have noticed it "black" (i.e. lights out) on the soccer court. Not a problem (OK, maybe for security is IS) for the kids when the moon is between half- and full...but when the moon is waning or new, it is DARK and, so, impossible for them to play there at night.

Keeping this open. Walked Ouija at 7 (i.e. after dark) last night and the lights were still out w/ kids playing in the dark (and amongst a LOT of trash!!)

Light is STILL out, over 2 months after first reporting.

I reported this to OCA several months ago. I followed up with them today and was told that they reported it to Odebrecht and filed the necessary paperwork. They asked me to call back next week and then said, and I quote "You know how government is... a bureaucracy..." Will let you know what they say.

Thanks...but it's amazing what it takes to change a light bulb. There is a joke in there somewhere ("How many people does it take to change a light bulb in Panama?")...IF it was funny. It pains me that the children who gather to play sports (vs. vandalize properties and parks/park benches or engage in other nefarious activities) have to play in the dark.

Keep it open because months after first reporting, the light is STILL out...even though all it would
take to fix it is either resetting the timer (if that is the problem; it may be "off" due to power outages) OR
putting up a ladder and changing a light bulb, i.e. "How many Panamanians does it take to change a light bulb?"

Has it been a YEAR??? since I first reported this outage? Seems like it has been. (See previous message. It's just too exhausting--perhaps more exhausting than changing a light bulb or resetting a timer)--to repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat (etc.) this SIMPLE request. Hey, THINK OF THE CHILDREN. Change the friggin' light bulb, reset the timer, or...whatever>!

OVER a year and counting. STILL no light bulb change (or timer, if there is one, reset). How many Panamanians does it take to change a light bulb? (Yes, there is fodder for a joke there...but, REALLY, it's been OVER a year.)

OK, it's now been 240+ days since I have reported this issue. What does it take to change a light bulb in Panama so the neighborhood children can play ball on the court at night? Obviously, the hand of God and the parting of the seas...

This is just an example of why Panama is "a Third World country with internet and skyscrapers." Such a FAIL on the simplest of things that would improve the quality of life for Panamanians and residents. Another example, fixing the fountain in the little park by the National Theater parking lot...and, for that matter, re-paving the parking lot, where the exposed rebar has been tearing up tires for several years--BOTH reported on other SeeClickFix filings.

The lack of concern, maintenance, and stewardship is deplorable.

A year (at least), dark. I may still be reporting on this issue on my death bed. (I just hate to see the children have to play in the dark when the problem could be rectified.)
