Olla rota se represamiento basura causando el agua estancada en la que los mosquitos se están reproduciendo. El agua estancada y la olla también huele a orina.

Broken pot is damming up garbage causing standing water in which mosquitoes are breeding. Standing water and pot also reeks of urine.

  • Avenida A Entre Calles 3 Y 4 Panamá, Panamá - Panamá
Irritating street light (and after a so-called outage "repair" that took almost a year to achieve). After dark, it's like living in a discotheque. The light blinks on-and-off continuously. Also, the glass cover is broken.
In the middle of the block (between Ave. A and Ave. Central) on Calle 4, there is a streetlight that looks like it is poised to fall over. Obviously, it "took a hit" from a passing truck or vehicle. Needs to be re-seated on the base. (Can it be affixed?)
  • Avenida A Entre Calles 3 And 4 Panamá, Panamá - Panamá
Street light on Avenida A between Cls 3 &4 (next to entrance
to DeVino OUTDOOR patio space, middle of the block) has been dark/burned out for months. Needs repair or bulb change.
  • Avenida A Ycl 4 Panama, Panama - Panamá

Across the street from KC and Patrizia's front door on CL. 4
is a (Odebrecht re-installed "new") light fixture. The light fixture MAY be on a motion-detector-type timer, as it USED to (operative words) come on when walking down the "short end" of 4th street toward the school/sports court at night.

Now, the side of the light fixture is open (as if vandalized) and it no longer comes on at night, so again (after a small "adequate illumination respite") the street is DARK at night.

Given that there are night functions (at Santa Familia school; sports court playing...with the light out THERE--reported separately) and after-dark walkers on the street, this light needs repair for both safety and security.

  • Calle 4a Oeste Panama, Panama - Panamá
The new transformer and newly re-painted walls and school at the end of Calle 4 are defaced with graffiti. It seems like more and more is added each day. This presents a "teachable moment" or community improvement project for the youth who frequent the school building, i.e. maybe they or the Saturday Scouts or another youth group could be enlisted to paint over the graffiti (as they repainted their school). I assume youths spray the graffiti (could be wrong about that); enlisting them to paint over it helps teach them pride in neighborhood (and that defacing property will not be tolerated).
  • Avenida A Y Calle 4 Casco Viejo, Panama, Panama - Panamá
The light at the sports court by La Familia (end of CL. 4) used to be on a timer and come on at dark so the children could play in the evening. It now stays dark. Either needs a new bulb OR the timer re-set.
  • Calle 2a Oeste Panama, Panama - Panamá
The public parking lot needs resurfacing/repair--and has for several years. Moreso, the concrete wall on the bay promenade needs repair and, AT THE LEAST, PAINTING (white). That area is very popular with residents and guests...and it is an eyesore. Very shabby.
  • Avenida A casco viejo, Panamá, Panama - Panamá
Last night as I walked along Ave"A" and a couple of the side streets (2, 3, 4)
I noticed that not one of the lamp posts were working. Had it not been for the
businesses and residential exterior lighting, the streets would have been completely dark.
Two of the side street WERE competently dark.
This is totally unacceptable. Last week we notice many blocks on Avenida B were dark.
No one seems to accept responsibility for correcting this problem; OCA, Union Fenosa, Odebrecht , MOP
all seem to be pointing at each other saying it is someone else's responsibility.
Tourist and residents expect decent lighting in order to feel some sense of security.
We deserve better than this...especially since millions of $$s and 2 years have been spent to improve the infrastructure.
  • Avenida A Y Calle 4 Casco Viejo Panamá, Panama - Panamá
The Electrico manhole cover at the corner of Avenida A y Cl. 4 is not seated properly. HUNDREDS of times a day, as vehicles pass over it, it goes, CLUNK-CLUNK, CLUNK-CLUNK, CLUNK-CLUNK...on and on, day and night, night and day. The irritating noise is enough to make one insane. The electrical entity that has stewardship of this manhole cover needs to come fix it SOON...before we S-C-R-E-A-M.
  • Avenida A Y Calle 8 San Felipe Panamá, Panama - Panamá
Inglesia San Jose has been defaced with grafitti. (Yes, despicable and sacreligious). Not sure what resources the church has to repaint this section (at the least) of the front w.
grafitti-covering paint or who to appeal to should financial help be needed. This is NOT expensive to do, but should be done immediately, IMHO.
  • Mural peeling Archived
    Avenida A Entre Cls 3 Y 4 Panama, Panama - Panamá
There is a lovely B & W photo mural on the back wall of the empty lot on Avenida A, entre CLs 3 & 4...the one with the toilet planter and urban tire garden. Many tourists photograph here daily. The mural is now peeling from one corner. I fear some vandal will be tempted to jump up and tear it down. It simply needs a repair, i.e. a person with the appropriate form of adhesive and a ladder. Not sure what person has stewardship over this art installation, i.e. should be alerted as to its need for a restoration.
  • Signage Archived
Calle 3a Oeste Panama, Panama - Panamá
This applies to the entirety of Casco Viejo. We have new street signs, but they are covered up with plastic. Is that intentional...or because the installers were lazy? We reported to OCA, but they said it would require walking around the neighborhood with a ladder to remove the plastic. Duh! Yes it would. Basically, it looks tacky + some are becoming occluded with moisture trapped under the (torn) plastic.
