On Oct 5, Bob reported: We obtained the RIDOT permit to start work and Aug. 31st our contractor East Coast Construction was on site to do some test hole to verify elevations of existing utilities in the area of West Main Road and Dudley Ave. where a new Catch Basin was to be installed. At this location a unmarked Verizon telephone duct bank encased in concrete was found over the RIDOT 12” storm pipe were the new catch basin was to be installed. The scope of work has changed now we must reapply with RIDOT for a permit and run the new drain line down Dudley Ave to a new catch basin up from West Main Road on the backside of the sidewalk in the grass along West Main Rd. to a existing catch basin. For the time being DPW this week install a new cover on the catch basin along Paul Reynolds lawn and restore the edge of road along his property.
