Dear Neighbors,

Do you hear constant banging or construction like sound from nearby during night times? Sometimes, it even sounds as if there are gunshots!!!

The relentless unbearable unacceptable loud noise nuisance in the middle of the night are from the construction site (25 Columbus Dr aka The Charlotte by Mack-Cali) is illegal as per Jersey City code.

Impact: At least 4000 residents within 4 block radius are severely affected by this.

Background:
The construction crew left the cables for window washing scaffolding unsecured and hanging. During the entire night, even light winds make the ropes/cables and/or the scaffolding bang against the glass.

It makes continuous gunshot like noises waking up the senior citizens (with chronic health ailments) I care for. I woke up several times and this continuous sleep disturbance is unacceptable.

What you can do about it:

Requesting all neighbors to unite and post complaints to:
1. Jersey City Mayor Fulop

2. Jersey City Zoning commissioner Taylor- responsible for permits ...asking to suspend permits until this grievance is addressed.

3. JCPD: to request cease and desist this nuisance

4. JCFD : potential hazard as the scaffolding .at fall

5. NJ DCA : clear violation of Dept of Community Affairs regulations

6. NJ Governor

...about this constant noise during night time... made by .....scaffolding left hanging unsecured causing loud sounds continuously. Ask the authorities to issue a construction permit suspension until this grievance is addressed and remedies.

The developer hired by the owner PH Urban Resources LLC, Mack-Cali is careless because the developer is not from the area.
