Thank you for the reply. I would not have posted here had it not been a city vehicle. Since each of the trucks is assigned to a particular route, the time and geographic information I gave should suffice to identify the truck. No?

I just received a "congratulatory" email reporting that this issue was closed and asking whether I wanted to thank the city. It's not clear why congratulations would be in order. Nor is it clear how the city actually can believe that it deserves thanks for ignoring and then closing an outstanding issue. I know that New Haven is one of the worst managed cities in the country, but have we really gotten to the point that this is considered a success?
