Thank you for reporting this issue. Please be aware that normal repair time is approximately 5-10 business days. If parts needs to be ordered, repair times may take longer.
Dear Highway Dept., You say 5-10 business days, longer if parts have to be ordered. I first reported these lights on Centre St. out Feb. 2020. Haven't the parts come in yet??
Dear Cindy, maybe they did get the parts and have fixed them since last year. How long have you been staring at the light? Atleast it works. Has it been blinking since last year? The light will be fixed. Would you rather it not blink for the time being? Where is the report from last year? The issue i.d. chosen for description states light out. We can make one for blinking😉. Don't worry,..this will be completed. And in the meantime,. Be glad that a blinking light is all you have to issue i.d. about. Have a warm bevvie and laugh about this. Why? Cuz the lights blinking and everyones home nowadays. Thankyou for your input. The City loves you. ...Hello parts Dept?
Dear Justice,
I look at these light every night. The blinking light is more like a strobe light. As has been reported to the city over the past year, there are more issues with the street lights on this part of Centre St. than just this light. Many of these lights are not working at all and have not for a long time. The main point to this notification to the city is the safety issue of a dark street in a populated area with many pedestrians and vehicles. I have personally witnessed people nearly being hit while crossing Centre St., my own son included. (Additionally, the intersection at Main & Centre Streets has had many accidents.) These lights must be fixed. The City of Brockton paid for working lights when the street and sidewalks were replaced as part of the downtown redevelopment. A contractor was paid tax payer money. The fact the lights are not working is an issue on many levels.
