I asked earlier why so many requests are still open and who was tracking the handling of these requests. Someone responded thanking me for my inquiry without answering my question? Do I have to schedule a meeting with the Mayor to discuss this lack of commitment?

I had my staff member work on those issues and requested he send you an email explaining that the system automatically assigns to some Departments the entry (Which was the case in a few of these issues). I did not realize he did not and he has since left working here. FYI...the issues were reassigned to the right staff by the original recipient. Sine then I have been working with the IT Department to reassign the receivership of the issues seeing that certain Departmental staff and individuals have changed. I have sent out communication explaining the necessary need to acknowledge issues that are assigned and to update the comment section as work progresses to allow the Public to follow the process.

John, thanks for the explanation - makes sense. It implies though that it is a somewhat decentralized system, i.e. each department is supposed to take responsibility for its tickets.
I can confirm the former staffer did not send me an email.
