I live on Dwight Street between Chapel and Edgewood. As I was parking my car in front of my house this afternoon, a young man with a cap, gloves, hoodie, jeans, and high top sneakers approached my car and, in an extremely aggressive and importunate manner, asked me for money to buy coffee and donuts. He was evidently a bit crazy and extremely agitated and while I am normally never frightened (just annoyed) by panhandlers, in this case I was frightened. He stood outside my car for almost 2 minutes and I decided to start the engine and look like I was moving away in an effort to discourage him. This worked. After I turned on my engine, I saw him, through the rear view mirror, loping down the street toward Edgewood. I happened to look over to my dashboard as I was turning off the car and saw that the time was 1:54. This teenager had approached my house/car from Chapel Street and did not behave like an ordinary panhandler.
