Description

Why do we put up with city services that do not service us? Because we elect Rob Ford and he cuts budgets so that nothing gets done. I think it was November, they did some work on Guildwood at Kingston Rd and the sensors were turned off so the lights would change. The work has been finished for almost months and the sensors have not been turned back on, creating unnecessary delays for cars on Kingston Rd and therefore increasing emissions that harm the environment.

The city pays Stacey & Guild to service these signals, but they break down and/ or reset so often, that they may as well not be there.

Other problem locations that I know of:
Kingston Rd. & Markham Rd. (always changes and always to a full walk -even at 3 AM)
St. Clair E. and Linden
Danforth Ave. & Gledhill Ave,
Danforth Ave. & Greenwood
Danforth Ave & Coxwell
Danforth Ave & Donlands
Danforth Ave & Jones
Danforth Ave & Linsmore
Danforth Ave & Monarch Park
Danforth Ave & Victoria Park
Danforth Ave & Main St.
Danforth Ave. & Woodbine
Danforth Ave. & Logan
Bloor & Brunswick
Bloor & St. George
Bloor & Bedford
Bloor & Huron
Bloor & Palmerston
Bloor & Manning
Bloor & Christie
Bloor & Shaw
Bloor & Dovercourt
Bloor & Brock
Bloor & S. Kingsway
Bloor & Royal York Road
Bloor & East Mall
Bloor & West Mall
Burnhamthorpe and Southbound 427

Also, why at the scramble signals at Bloor & Yonge & Bay & Bloor do the walk signals on a scrambe all count down to zero when one is just going to change to walk again when it gets to zero. When they do change they come back for only 20 seconds, not allowing enough time for some people to cross safely.

Please, please alleviate the unnecessary waiting at lights that need not change, not only at the lights listed above but all over the city.

While you are at it, please get rid of the delay between one light going red and the other going green. (5 seconds at Kingston Rd. & Markham Rd) It just gives idiots time to run a red and not slow down on a yellow. In Montreal there is no delay, do they have more accidents?
