How do you know it's a rooming house ? If it is, why do you call it an illegal rooming house ? How do you know it hasn't been one since the 60's or 70's ? And just what is the clear definition of a Legal rooming house ? One that makes a payment to City Hall ? Regardless as to what it is ,or what the landlord calls it at tax time.
Is heat included ? Gas bills in landlords name ? Permission or orders from the landlord who is tired of Mr.Oilman ( fill in expletives and excuses/reasons for not calling them)

I have no idea! That is the problem, neither LCI or the Alderman some clown named Blango (who lives on Newhall for crying out loud) or the Mayors office has assisted with this! The solution given to me by some tool from the gas co. was to shut off the gas! And the tenants would do what for heat?? idiot!

Alot of people r looking at this issue but I dont see that anyone has done anything!!! City of New Haven, LCI and ESPECIALLY this clown Blango ought to be ashamed of themselves. We know DeStefano couldnt care less but I expect more from Alderman - dont get it but I expect it!!!

I know it is illegal because there is no such thing as a legal rooming house when there are living conditions like this. I get that u r probably just another slum lord but when there r children in residence and they r using a gas stove to heat there is no excuse! Did u see the house?? I did! I have the pictures to prove it! There are very strict housing codes in place for these kinds of living circumstances...And if as a landlord u r not capable of providing decent living conditions for the tenants then get out! There is a certain amount of morality here. I have called and emailed every single city authority with regard to this. NO ONE has taken the time out of their bust schedules to pay attention to this! I pay for oil, and gas and lights. Again, u cant afford it then get out!
