Description

The traffic signal for cars coming off the freeway needs to run longer during evening hours 330 to 530pm. Likely in the morning but school (Bishop Odowd) is not in session due to Covid.

The freeway exit is just after a semi-blind curve and cars are backed up into the slow lane and 'smart' drivers will line up in the emergency lane.

It is a very dangerous situation that also contributes to congestion on 580.

I just experienced this situation and ended up in the emergency lane and whitnessed a couple of close calls which encouraged me to write this message. While waiting on the off ramp there was essentially no traffic coming from the opposing directions. So running the light longer to get people off the freeway will not be an inconveniece to traffic flow.

I can't help but think this is an easy software/timing fix to make everyone safer. Please consider this before someone gets injured.
