I have submitted my concerns twice, and don't want to go through Facebook or any other media to do so. I have far too many "passwords" now, and don't want have to track another. Yes, the street still has lots of potholes and needs paving. Please put people to work to take care of this heavily traveled street. Then, when it is done, you can close the file. Thank you.

Curlew from Robinson to the 3652 block of Curlew was completely repaved and restriped. It looks great! The BOOTOM of Curlew still looks awful - this is but one example of it. I agree with the originator of this issue - please fknish the rest of the street. It is a highly trafficked street from Downtown up to Hillcrest as she says, and the part that hasn't been touched is horrible.

Look how nice the TOP half of the street looks now! This part of the road will last for decades and the residents clearly will feel pride to live on this part of the road.

I know there are many issues the City has to deal with, but it sure would be great to make the street smooth. (Dove Street from University to Pennsylvania needs the same.) No prob, Stella. I live fairly close to you up the hill in Mission Hills, saw this request, and saw the city's less-than-tepid response. Not sure if they did the top of the street in response to your ticket, it seems likely. But they should have finished the job!

I stared this journey by complaining about my own street last February on the website they have below. To my immense surprise and pleasure, they fixed my street - it looks great! Since success begets more success I began logging more jobs, using SeeClickFix instead (you can probably see them by clicking on my name) because I can do it in the field AND attach a picture, unlike with the city's site. I don't like how they steer everyone to their site - it is unaccountable and we cannot see how many jobs they have in their queue. Here, we can! The City needs to be accountable and know they are being BOTH watched AND helped by us.

By the way, I suggest you edit the title to say the name of the street in it...."Curlew St" is more specific :)

I could not agree with you more Alex, and thank you for your tenacity to hold the city accountable. I watched last year, four men and one woman work on one manhole in my back yard. I actually took a photo of it. Preliminary work I guess, but the woman dug the trench for two days as the men stood around and watched during the time they were here. They all seemed to get along, but it is yet another example of "why does it take 5 people to do a job that one or two people can do?"...and on a personal note...why was it that only the woman dug? I'd like a job with the city...it seems like a gravy gig to me.

Hello Street Service! Thanks, we really appreciate it! Let us know if there's any updates on a decision and - if you know the answer - when work might start. Always nice to let the citizens living on that street know what's going on. The people in my apartment building were super-psyched to see the notifications clearly posted in the building when you fixed Albatross St (the part between Washington and University) and it looks awesome. You guys do great work - we know how hard this probably is with budgets being what they are and people pulling you in different directions. It's important work and I really think you guys are being very responsive. In some areas of the city it doesn't seem like any notifications are set up - the issue is in but the "where did this go? button shows noone was told. I'm not really sure what to do about that when it happens....and feedback? I can call you but do you have an email address too?

My request to have the remaining strip of pavement on Curlew paved was placed one year ago, with several follow ups and no response. I pick up chunks of asphalt off the street all the time, and now I'm picking up concrete chunks from the sidewalk in front of my so that no one is injured. This is a safety hazard. Please, please, please consider paving the street as listed above, and possibly patch the concrete before someone trips. Thank you, Stella Livoni

Per the comments in the service notification, this street is scheduled for a pipe replacement project group job 76lit will be resurfaced after project is completed.

At any time though, you may call our Street Service Request line at (619) 527-7500 to report potholes or other hazardous street conditions which need to be repaired. These requests can also be submitted via the internet at www.sandiego.gov/street-div/.”

Please provide an address where potholes are and we will be happy to create a service notification to repair the potholes in the meantime.

Stella, if you post a picture of the pothole and a description of where it is exactly, they can patch it until they get to the overall street repair. They did that for Albatross then came back a few months later to completely pave the road!
