Description

4:45 last night crossing Chapel at the intersection of Church. Sirens blare. Walked as quickly as I could out of the intersection. Two police cars come out of nowhere, sirens screaming, miss me by two feet, and speed even more into a more populated area (Orange and Chapel) where there is a bus stop. If I were just a bit slower (or older), they would have killed me.
Question is what kind of logic does a police officer use in heading to a call? (Is it okay to kill a few people on the way to solving just one situation?). Its not like there have not been issues in New Haven before.
