Descrizione

The sidewalk in front of 259 Ocean Avenue is covered in leaves. This is a problem because then we get snow and ice and it's impossible to walk on the sidewalk. Everyone else has raked up their leaves, yet every year it's the same problem with this house. Also, the resident does not shovel snow in the winter. Furthermore, someone leaves their trash can out by the mailbox there for weeks at a time. Can someone in the City please do something once and for all?

Ticket the Homeowner (Ospite)

Someone pushed the leaves aside, so there is a narrow path on the sidewalk. This is not the same as raking and bagging, and now that it's time to shovel snow, the homeowner will likely leave the snow and ice on top of the leaves (as in past years). Doesn't anyone care about pedestrians in this city? Why don't people get tickets when they don't do what they're supposed to?

i feel your pain. tens of thousands of dollars in fines that the city could be collecting, and yet they sit on their thumbs. Or, the police blame public works, who blames the police, and round and round we go. I've reported a house a couple of blocks from my house that has had two sofas sitting on the sidewalk for 3 months, and i've reported it 2 times on MyPD and twice by phone. And they are still there.

Tickets, please (Ospite)

For close to $10,000 a year in property taxes for a house with no land, I expect a little more from my municipality. The blame game has been going on for decades. Now we have a new mayor. Mr. O'Brien, are you reading this? New York City collects MILLIONS in tickets for sidewalks that haven't been shoveled. How many tickets does West Haven issue?
