I did hear what sounded like a sweeper going by this morning, but the street doesn't look any different. still tons of leaves. I actually don't mind the sight of leaves really, but it seems you are correct

I saw the town driving around, raking the leaves out of the general gutter area yesterday & today. Again, they're obviously backed up, and maybe some patience is required, as we all know they will get here as soon as they can. I dont want to step up & over leaves & see gutters clogged either, but they were out here, Ive seen them, and it appears they are working on it to the best of their ability

And I love how you use CAPS to show your emotion!! Again... they will be cleaned, they always are. So is the snow.

Thanks for the feedback. We added additional street sweeping weeks to get ready for winter. Since the additional weeks don't involve tagging and towing we are relying on residents to cooperate by moving cars off the street and not blowing piles of leaves from their lawns into the street. With all due respect, PUBLIC WORKS, residents don't cooperate! On Lawrence Street, where I live, there were three cars parked on my side of my block alone on Friday. The sweepers had to go around them, so the majority of the leaves didn't get swept up. If you want to do the job right and not waste time (yours and ours) and taxpayer dollars, tag and tow cars so the leaves are thoroughly cleared the first time.
