Description

This work site at 110 First Street has become a chaotic mess. Vehicles are parked up off the road onto the sidewalks on Warren Street and the entire length of First Street between Provost and Washington Street is filled with construction workers' personal vehicles. There are street signs stating No Parking or No Standing in certain portions -completely overlooked and ignored, Emergency No Parking signs posted - all ignored and signs stating Zone 4 Permit Parking only -ignored and not enforced.
The high volume of high rises being built in the area is because it's close to public transportation - and NONE of these workers are taking public transportation or using the multiple street lots and parking garages in the area. The contractors hiring these workers should purchase temporary zone 4 parking permits or work out a deal with the BJs parking lot to park on the south east side of their lot.
The residents of the neighborhood should not have to suffer through five active construction for over 18 months. Not only has our parking been diminished because of this construction, what little is left if over run by these construction workers' vehicles. The streets need to be cleaned from dust and debris, but a street sweeper would never be able pass through because of all the cars parked where ever. PLEASE , PLEASE HELP fix this.
