Description

Pole Branch Road (aka Highway 279) is a main highway for commuters to and from the Lake Wylie area into Gaston County (Belmont). This road is kept a disaster waiting to happen. The huge potholes and dips in this 4-5 mile stretch of road just keeps getting "patched up" year after year. It has more patches than actual remaining asphalt. With all of the exclusive subdivisions on it, many are REALLY surprised no one has brought this to the State of SC's attention. Maybe YOU can get it because they certainly do not listen to its TAX-PAYING residents!
