Inspection Services Divisions of the SF Department of Building Inspection (DBI) inspects all new and existing residential and commercial buildings for compliance with local and state building code requirements. Their goal is to provide public safety by responding to complaints of unsafe structures, conducting inspections, and enforcing code compliance. As necessary, DBI prepares and issues Notices of Violation to responsible parties. Unabated cases are referred to Code Enforcement for Director’s Hearings and further action.

This issue was referred to the Department of Building Inspection on 10/25/2013. Inspector Grady inspected the property on 11/27/2013 and issued a Notice of Violation.
