This intersection is scheduled to be redeveloped to eliminate or at least reduce this problem. There have been several community meetings to review and discuss possible configurations and they were very well publicized.

I do not recall seeing any signs near this intersection announcing meetings or plans . Nevertheless , nothing has been done to improve this intersection though it has been problematic for over a decade. A temporary fix is what I suggested

A work order is in place for signage and a stop bar to be installed on N. Peachtree Rd. at Peeler Rd. This should assist in addressing this issue until permanent intersection improvements are made. The N Peachtree Rd and Tilly Mill Rd intersection improvement project is currently undergoing right of way acquisitions. How long does it take to complete the work-order? I logged in this issue in Oct 2013. A work-order was placed in Jan 2014. Six months later--nothing! The intersection continues to be problematic and down-right dangerous.
