Description
I am absolutely thrilled that the Mayor has closed off Farnam and English Drives to vehicle traffic. This is allowing so many people to enjoy the outdoors in a much safer manner!
However, the city's signs (see the photo on the right) are hopeless complicated and are only placed in a few locations. With 15 bullet points written in small font about everything from ticks and ATVs to dogs the main Social Distancing message gets lost. Who is going to read this?
I contrast that with a much simpler and more direct message seen on the left which I found on the Internet. It gets the most important point across in visually appealing format. People are much more likely to adhere to this simple and important message.
The city should create a similarly simple sign and it should be posted at ALL TRAILHEADS throughout ALL the city's parks.
