SHOE's GHOST...or PAUL-
What is the reason for changing the headline, but not altering ONE SINGLE WORD of yesterday's story...and dumping an interesting string of 13 comments on the city's single most important issue?
Here's yesterday's tale, the old headline on the exact same story--

I agree the Saratogian is very low quality.
Of course, when the sub-title of your blog is:
"News of the America's Greatest City."
Do you think you are any better?

Throughout the day, as articles are published on Saratogian.com, they are edited and updated with new information. When a story is finalized for print and web publication copy editors make changes to the positioning of paragraphs and the content of headlines to ensure they will fit on the page. A print story will rarely have the same headline as the same story online.
Occasionally, when a story is edited and updated for print and republished online, a new file is created on the website along with a new comment string.
The comments that Kyle referred to as "dumped" are still online at Saratogian.com at the link he has provided. An additional comment string was opened when the article was republished (link: http://tiny.cc/cfeam) where anyone who had previously commented was free to comment again.
Please call web editor Emily Donohue at 583-8729 ext. 213 for any website issues. Thank you!
