this would be a GREAT idea if we were anywhere but Prince Albert. Most of P.A. still hasn't figured out how to use the center turning lane or to pull off to the right and stop when an emergency vehicle is behind you. If most of the driver's in P.A. spent more time in cities than on grid roads it would work better but this would just cause havok and destruction.

I agree there should be something that can be done to help the congestion but I don't think this is it.

People here can't even deal with a 4 way stop, what would they do with dual-turning lanes? Chaos and hilarity would be sure to ensue.

It sure is but with so many morons not able to deal with what we have now, how many accidents would this cause? I'm so sick of people who cant figure out you should be in the far right lane to make a right turn!!!

Morons, Chaos and hilarity is present in all cities and towns, Saskatoon has double turning lanes and im pretty sure they have morons living there , Edmonton has triple turning lanes and i'd place a bet they have a lot more morons that Saskatoon or P.A. City planners NEED to come up with a plan for this corner, with the Tim Horton fiasco, cars lined up on 2nd ave turning into Tims and traffic lined up for blocks to turn left, the traffic backed up for blocks whenever there is a problem on the bridge, this is without a doubt the busiest street in this city there is bound to be a disaster at this intersection !! Its just a matter of time !

i do agree, this city is growing and yes we do have some bad drivers...same as other places...remember back when they first put in the suicide lanes on 2nd ave??...well , it wasnt as bad as we first thought...yes there are still some idiots but hey, they work for the most part...so change will work...if not, it may scare the people that cant drive, away from these places (i hope)...but are our streets wide enough to do this??...i dont think so??....but it would be nice

They are wide enough, the left lane would stay as is, mandatory to turn left in that lane, the straight lanes would stay the same with the exceptiin of the left one, it would have an option of turning left or going straight through, make sense ? so then you would have 2 left hand turn lanes or you could go straight. !!!
