If you are serous about slowing cars down and only during a set time, there really needs to be a bigger better way to notify drives of speed limit lowered. Flashing yellow lights blinking at time of lowered speed limit works real well for other schools.

The Superintendent of Harper Creek Schools requested the school zone to be set with the lower speed limit. The signs are the standard signs required by the MMUTCD. There is not a flashing light because the school had requested signs only. When a flasher is installed the school would have to pay for the electric and they did not feel it was needed at that time.
