This conforms to observations everywhere in this supremely dysfunctional city. The PD claimed a couple of years ago that it was making "quality of life" (their words) an issue, and that includes blight. they rolled out their "Community Resource Officer" program, and wanted everyone to know who their CRO was, and then... it fell by the wayside, and now you can post on "MyPD", you can call the PD and report things, but nothing, nothing, simply nothing happens, except the blight continues.

Doesn't the city have to fine anyone with a building permit who does not work on the property within a 180 day period? Contact your council person and they should be able to get the blight commission down there.

It has been 3091 days that this house was first complained about. The house has still not been finished. There are cars still parked in the front yard. The so called owner of the house(I use this word house loosely) still lives next door.
The city has heard every neighbor complain about it.
Our councilman is AFRAID of the own because he doesn’t want to get sued by her.(His words) The planning and zoning won’t show up if someone calls them. I guess they don’t care about her building things with no permits.
The police department take their time coming to calls because they get called to this home often.
I’m so glad the city of West Haven has a blight policy.
I think our neighbors are finally done asking the city for help. We will go to the state and the news stations.
