My building started having serious rat problems after Le Diplomate opened this Summer. Walking by the restaurant you can see a large number of rats all around their outdoors patio.

Unfortunately it's an actual neighboring resident, who has to walk by them & their rats on way home.

It is absurd to blame the neighborhood rats on one establishment. Maybe construction drove them from the nests they had built for themselves on plenty of neighboring establishments and who knows the filthy conditions inside personal dwellings in the neighborhood. Rats have always been in NYC, DC, Chicago and other large urban areas. Le Diplomat just opened and I am sure has been thoroughly inspected by Health Services. It is disingenuous to blame the restaurant for the rat problem. And kind of studpid.
