This problem has been reported and "fixed" twice before... There is something wrong UNDER the road which also causes huge excessive puddles (and moisture in our lower field across from 9307) every time it rains. It is not "just" a pothole... Please do further exploration and repair this time.

Thank you so much - I appreciate the quick response. I look forward to driving by in the morning and not worrying about losing another tire!!

Imagine my surprise yesterday morning as I was driving along Cherokee and almost ran into the pothole that was reportedly fixed. SO, I'm reopening this issue and requesting that the pothole be fixed this time.

Here are detailed directions to the pothole: 1) cross over the Huguenot Bridge going south, 2) turn right onto Cherokee Road and drive along towards the river, 3) when the road turns to the left and begins to run along the river, look for the mailbox for 9307 Cherokee Road (it is right next to a street sign for James River Watch), 4) stand in front of the 9307 mailbox facing the river and turn to your left,
6) walk somewhere between 30 and 60 feet along the north side of the road. The pot hole is there - it is about 2 feet long, 1 foot wide, and 1 foot deep. Let's get this tire-eating and potential cyclist-injuring hole fixed.

This request has been received and submitted to the City agencies for review and appropriate action.

I drove by the big hole again this morning and watched numerous vehicles ahead of me swerve to miss it, so I don't understand how it could have been fixed last Friday. Would it be more efficient to move this discussion off-line so that we can make sure that you have the correct location?

Please stop ignoring Heather's comments by 'closing' the case because someone at City Hall says it is closed. As the house 'above' the pothole where we sit and watch numerous drivers swerve dangerously or hit and bounce uncontrollably, it really concerns us and we KNOW it is still there (along with the huge wash of water than comes on the OTHER side of the road from poor road drainage). My husband has personally reported this to Kathy Graziano and Howard Glenn from Dept of Public Works NUMEROUS TIMES. Both of them have visited ON SITE and know how bad this issue is. This is affecting every single car that drives west on Cherokee (and bikers) - which is obviously quite a few since you are installing a stoplight at Huguenot & Cherokee.
