Agreed - this work has been very disruptive, and I think there are multiple underlying issues that led to this permit being granted. If it's an emergency project, can you share details about its nature and the benefits to the neighborhood? If it's not an emergency project, can you shed some light as to how many households were notified about the proposed work during the permitting process, and how that number was decided upon? Was there any thought given to the unusual nature of this project, and that more households in a larger radius would be impacted and should therefore have been notified prior to permit-granting so that they could have a say/participate in the process? What's clear is that the process for granting such a permit is broken if it did not take these factors into account and allow a more transparent feedback and approval/denial process.
