I think this is a great idea, but can;t imagine it will happen I avoid this st, one blk over from me, at all costs. It's a speedway, both figuratively, and literally (though not in a little while) for the drag racers. More traffic calming measures need to be taken, like at bump up-circle that appeared as part of the redo a couple yrs ago, but another thing we sorely need is enforcement. I don't understand why the NHPD just won't sit here and ticket. Ticket, Ticket, ticket! Does anyone know what happened to that initiative to get the ticket money to come to the city and not to the state? In the meantime, go speedbumps! Well-signed ones, please.

Speed bumps and enforcing laws through ticketing sound like great ideas to me.

The department has developed an entire program around improving New Haven’s streets in order to provide safer and more convenient access to a greater number of transportation modes. This issue is a good example of the types of ideas that fall under the “Complete Streets” scope.

A focal point of this program is to include feedback and ideas for street improvements from members of the community. You will also find previously submitted project requests from other community members.
