The drain gets cleared by the clean team and has been vac'd by the city. There is structural failure in the line unfortunately. Thanks so much for the offer.

the issue is that several houses in a row in the center of mechanic street have landlords & residents who have not raked once this fall. the buildup of leaves was just annoying before, but after the torrential rain on sunday, it all gushed into a thick, swampy mess in this particular drain.
it's not so much that the original poster wasn't able bodied, & it's nice of you to offer, but at this point it would be quite a committment to unclog it, and it should have been prevented by regular raking to begin with.
