Can we PLEASE get this fixed? A major television network is getting ready to film our shop and you can barely walk down the alley to our door. Not the impression of Richmond I'd like to give the world....

Any updates to this? It would be really nice if we could get it done before there's a camera crew here for 6 weeks. We can build a 10 million dollar football complex in a couple months, but can't spend two hours grading and putting some gravel down in an alley?

12/4/2013 - Service Review: Currently still under review by the City of Richmond government – this team has had problems with equipment breakage with regards to motor graders that break and need repair and may have broken again and back in shop. Also members of the Alley team are engaged in Leaf removal services right now. Regardless, please know that the City of Richmond is endeared to addressing your alley repair needs as soon as possible and this case file is still under review and being continually monitored for servicing

Well, it sure hasn't gotten any better since reported in August. Seriously, I've driven down remote Forest Service roads that are in far better shape. It's 2013, the idea that there are still gravel alleys in a major city is laughable...but I realize the chances of getting it paved are less than zero. It would really be nice if we could at least keep the gravel in passable condition though. The City is making itself and the half dozen business that are located in this area look terrible.

Another month, and the alley continues to get worse. What does it take to get this sort of thing repaired? Multiple tax paying businesses use this alley on a regular basis...

Why was this issue closed? The alley in question has not been touched.
