We just installed a stop light that was "NOT" needed at the exact spot you are talking about last year. The light already stops cars at all hours when no cars are entering or exiting the Museum. Don't you think that is enough over kill already? And no the cars are not running the red light so kids can cross the street at 3:30 AM

Well somebody woke up on the wrong side of life. I agree that the new light should only be triggered by vehicles or pedestrians who need access to the road and should not be on a timer. That said, it appears that you may be one of the people who are driving 50+ mph on this stretch of road and are just irritated that you have to slow down. At one point in my life I would have agreed with you that the man was just holding me back. Then I grew up a little and realized that some people are so stupid that they need other people to help them slow down and reduce the risks they pose to others. So I'm all for putting up some sort of warning about the deer and for making people slow a little on this stretch of road that is frequented by bikers, pedestrians and schoolchildren.

Peter you ask for more speed enforcement. You ask for more "TRAFFIC CALMING". You ask for a deer crossing sign. Why? Because a deer got hit on Whitney ave? Where is the concern for the residents living right next to this area that have to put up with the non stop do-gooders and Civic Crusaders like you that keep screwing up the best of intentions over and over. The stop light that stops cars for ever when no cars are turning. The traffic bell that got hit the first day after it was installed on Putnam and Whitney. The overlook on Lake Road that does nothing to ease the traffic congestion "FROM" a closed Lake Road. Yes Peter I will be standing up to protect my neighborhood "FROM" people like you!

Well, I for one am glad for that light. And '50 mph' is being kind.

those deers have a right to be there!

The safety of people (and drivers) will always come before the deer. No one has any reason to see any thing bad happen to the deer But the take a back seat to people. ALWAYS!

I know this is hard to belive but I am NOT giving up. ( EVER ! ) Some day real people from the land of Ozz will come and put all right again.

You are the invasive species. Slow down and deal with it. the speed limit on Whitney is 35mph.

We like things just the way they are and for the most part always have been. Thank you very much. Our town is just fine and I think I will say here till the end of time. We have a speed limit? GEEEE, I don't know that.
