I cross here multiple times a day, and I always feel I either have to wait forever or risk death by trying to make it across. It does need to be fixed somehow.

Drivers also tend to run red lights / stop signs in the area making it rather unsafe for pedestrians.

It finally happened. A young girl was hit crossing here. I watched it happen. Lucky she was not badly hurt.

I almost got killed the other day by a thumping stereo on wheels. This section is out of control. When someone gets splattered they'll all of a sudden make a big deal and fix it.
