Description

For the past few months we have spent a lot of money fixing up the outside of our dated 1954 manufacturing building and last night a freshly painted & roofed section of the building was vandalized by spray painters that go by the names "CRAZE SECR". They also seem to belong to a group named "Rise Aboves". Judging from their photos on Flickr, they seem to be targeting wall canvases on rail tracks.

The Hamden police were called in this morning and luckily we have significant evidence to provide to possibly catch & punish those responsible. The spray painters graffiti is published on Flickr and we have made the following statements to the authors on almost all their Flickr postings:

CRAZE SECR: Please do not spray paint on private property on State St. in Hamden. We just spent several thousand dollars in cleaning up our building and your artwork has defaced the work done. Your artwork was not authorized or requested and you were caught on our CCTV system. Hamden police took copies and are taking 2 black spray can caps (1 flat, 1 glossy) that you accidentally left behind with obvious finger prints on them as well. They took these and they will be analyzed for our complaint report. Charges will be pressed if you are caught. Again, please choose another private property as your canvas; while you seem talented, we do not appreciate defacing our professional refurbishment."

We anonymously requested from Flickr that these vandals be removed as Flickr users since they are publicizing criminal acts that are punishable by law. Since we are not 100% certain the police will be able serve justice, we ask that Flickr step up and provide some sort of redemption as we are under the assumption that Flickr does not condone this type of activity.

Not sure what SeeClickFix.com can do here but since I've know Benny Berk for as long as I have, I am sure his team can conjure up some way to get the word out that this kind of menacing art is not art unless its wanted by those who house it.
