Kayla you are incorrect- anything on public space (i.e streets, sidewalks, parks etc..) is not invasion of privacy. A car parked on someones private property is.
If you are in a public area you have given up your right to privacy. This was explained to me by an Assistant Chief in the PD if you question my source of information.
Not only should these plates be published they should also be reported to the Assessor's Office for investigation by their private investigators who handle these matters NOT THE POLICE.
Please, not to belittle your suggestion, but try to research the proper channels/departments for reporting these types of complaints.

Clarification- reporting plate numbers and street locations where they are parked is no different than reporting a parking violation- giving out detailed info such as names and apartment numbers, phones #'s etc are things NOT to be posted.

Where a car is registered, and to whom property taxes are paid are two different things. It is quite possible that the car owners pay New Haven property taxes even though the cars are registered out of state. You can argue the morality of the law, but the fact is the car owners may not be actually be breaking any laws.

Really @ NH Resident? This is news to me...wherever your car is registered, you pay taxes...plain & simple....

My car is registered out of state, and I indeed paid property tax on. Interesting that CT values my car at a much higher price than my home state.
