I just did a quick web search and found this:
http://www.cwrawildlife.org/findarehabilitator.html
it's the CT Wildlife Rehabilitators Association and there are links to several rehabilitators and you can choose the closest one to you. They deal exclusively with rehab and, in particular, injured and orphaned animals. Here are a few tips from the "distressed wildlife" tab:
"Don't pick up any wildlife unless you know the animal needs help or is orphaned. Just seeing a baby animal alone does not mean the animal is orphaned. For example, wild rabbits or deer often stay from their young for long periods of time. For advice call (203) 393-1050.
Approach injured or orphaned animals with caution - and even then, only if safe to do so! Wearing gloves, use an implement to gently push the animal into an escape-proof, ventilated container, such as a cardboard box with a window screen on the top. Put the container in a warm, dark, quiet place while you contact a rehabilitator.
To locate a wildlife rehabilitator in your area who handles the animal you have found see our page Find a rehabilitator
For further questions or assistance you can call the CWRA hotline - (203) 393-1050."
Good luck! Please post an update when you can. I hope the little girl is okay.

DO NOT USE CENTRAL ANIMAL HOSPITAL- they are a money machine and an animals health is not their primary concern.
Its too bad we can't seem to find room in the budget for more than one animal control officer.
