I have never heard a word from the city about this concern. Shouldn't I at least get a response? Every time we have an ice or snow storm I worry that branches will come down.

No improvement.

Spring is here and this tree is now officially dead. No leaves. The only thing growing on the branches is moss, which can't be a good sign. Here are three new pictures showing the branches intermingling with the power lines and transformer box. I also included a picture to show that this was taken May 21 when everything else is blooming. I've reported it here and to UI.

Dangerous dead tree in curb strip. Risk to people, property and powerlines/transformer on adjacent utility pole. Please address this situation. Thank you.

Randall Beach wrote an interesting piece in today's Register about his effort to save a healthy maple tree from removal. Meanwhile, I can't get this DEAD tree removed from the curb strip in front of my house.

I visited the Parks and Rec office in person last week after being unable to get through by phone for days (ring...ring...ring...) The woman in the office took my name and said she'd pass my concern to the appropriate person. The very next day, the dead tree was marked with a X! I'm hopeful, but not naive.
Thank you to the helpful woman in Parks and Rec whose name I wish I'd gotten.
