I agree- I find myself sppeding to catch lights. In NYC if u go posted limit u get 6-8 greens and 2 reds all the way up the island.

I say this to myself all the time, usually when I'm in the car stopped at a red light! Which is often!!

I don't understand why people can't make a connection between speeding and poorly-timed traffic signals. If you drive the speed limit, or less, you will have to stop at every single light. It won't even matter if someone is there waiting or not - many times, the intersections are completely empty! Not to mention the 4-way pedestrian walk signals, where everybody sits and watches an empty intersection.

I thought this was going to be fixed.

If the city is serious about going green it should time it's lights. Having timed lights saves a ton of gas!!!

Since opening this issue I have ridden my bike down Whalley. The timing seems more suited for bike traffic...but this is not a designated bike route. So either the speed limit should be changed to about 15 mph or the lights should be timed to speed limit. Some consistent law enforcement would be nice too. The random monthly speed traps don't seem to be effective.
