There are 7 family members living here at 683 prospect st corner of 166 Huntington, the brown toter we have now is chewed through by squirrels and I've asked for a second one has one is insufficient for the number of people in my household neither of which has been addressed. The other issue is no trash was picked up at all last week!!!

This is a common problem; but I suspect one that the City is not willing to address, because it would mean accepting more garbage from residents than they do now. That would be an additional cost to the City, I doubt it is willing to undertake. There are many people in the City who live in condos who pay property taxes and for whom the City picks up no garbage.
As a strategy for dealing with the squirrels, the problem often is that with so many large, mature trees have been pulled down in the neighborhood, they are having problems finding natural food sources. Many squirrels will become destructive, when they can't find food or their habitat has been destroyed. This happens in the winter in particular when you can see evidence of squirrels' eating bark off trees, which destroys those trees. That's why I feed squirrels in the winter, and I try to protect their habitat, the trees we have left. It keeps they happy and out of trouble....
