While I don't love your sometimes antagonization of our other users I have to agree that this may not be the best forum for these types of issue especially from anonymous posters.
Would love to hear what other users think.

this is not an accountability system which ties to a criminal or civil justice system. this helps log the problem of unsafe driving and lets policy makers quantify how many large the problem of red light running is in new haven (and other systems). your comments of hearsay are irrelevant as this is not a court procedure. no one can be charged with running a red light from a scf issue, but this is one way to say how large the problem is.

Unless you are willing to come forward speak to an officer to file a complaint and find some sort of witnesses besides yourself that this particular vehicle blew the light, there is not much that it can be done. It is a hearsay.

There is a thin line between "observations of conditions" and "allegations of illegal misconduct." IMHO these anonymous reports of potential criminal activity cross the line when they publish specifically identifiable information on the perpetrator, i.e. the license plate #, etc. It is possible to document your concern about the condition (unsafe driving) without specifically identifying the owner/driver of the vehicle. Otherwise, you need to remember to insert the word "alleged" into these public accusations of wrongdoing.
