  Your comment will be offered to the Dept. of Transportation for more consideration (according to someone who does this kind of work). Also, It was suggested by the City (in a different report on the same address[es] that the dept. of CODE ENFORCEMENT be contacted, I didn't like that option because I know that the process takes quite a lot of time. But the "someone' who's in-the-know re-iterates that it's a another tool to get rid of blight, nuisance, undesirable elements, etc. It involves contact with the property owner(s) of (those) private buildings; Code Enforcement will do that upon receiving a complaint. But somebody has to call. You don't have to give your name and I have found the agents there quite helpful. Be prepared to make a note of the record # you will be given so you can follow up in a few weeks. Yes, patience is required. An inspector is sent to the location to confirm the complaint. Then a letter goes to the property owner who has 3 weeks to abate to problem. If multiple people call in, it would have more weight.
